About this Organization
TIP's mission is simply to keep pets healthy, happy, and at home with the families who love them. We work alongside our rescue partners. Our programs remove barriers to pet care so no owner has to surrender their pet due to accessibility of veterinary services, heartworm treatment and prevention, or behavioral issues. We also are involved in community outreach and education on the plight of animal welfare.
Some accomplishments over 10 years:
- Worked with over 3,000 families with over 11,500 pet visits with our programs and services
- Administered 55,000 months of heartworm prevention and 42,418 months of flea prevention at 128 pop-up heartworm zero clinics since 2016
- 111 dogs are enrolled in heartworm treatment, with 104 dogs now heartworm-free
- In 2024 alone we helped 158 pets with $30,000 in veterinary assistance, countless dogs with behavior and training, and provided pet food for over 1500 dogs and cats.
Expansions:
In 2024 we introduced cat clinics and a grant focused specifically in the HollyGrove neighborhood where we offer an array of community - suggested services.
