Upgrade New Orleans Community Radio Infrastructure

For over 40 years, the Affiliated Media Foundation Movement (AM/FM) has worked to amplify the voices of low- and moderate-income communities through grassroots, community-controlled radio. In New Orleans, WAMF-LP continues this mission by providing locally rooted coverage and a platform for voices too often excluded from mainstream media.

To sustain and grow this work, we are raising funds to upgrade our studio equipment. This includes a new studio mixer, dynamic microphones, computer automation systems, headphones, and monitor speakers which are critical tools to ensure high-quality, reliable broadcasting for our programmers, DJ's and community organizers.

As we modernize our primary station, legacy equipment will be repurposed to help launch and support emerging stations, expanding access to community radio across the region. This fundraiser campaign invests not only in better sound, but in stronger, more accessible media infrastructure for the people of to build their own platforms.
