Help Mary Provide Healthcare to our Community

I’m proud to serve on the board of Luke’s House Clinic, and I’m fundraising this GiveNOLA Day because I believe everyone deserves access to healthcare, no matter their circumstances.

Luke’s House provides free, compassionate medical care to uninsured patients in our community and helps them navigate a complicated healthcare system. Safety-net resources can be difficult to access for our patients due to cost, language barriers, long wait times, and complex processes. Luke’s House helps bridge that gap by offering bilingual care that is always free, welcoming, and centered on the patient.

It’s also an incredible teaching clinic, where students and doctors from Tulane, LSU, and Ochsner come together to learn, collaborate, and serve the community. It’s a space where future Spanish-speaking providers are shaped—not just clinically, but in how they care for people with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Through my involvement, I’ve seen how important it is for patients to have a place they can trust, where they can receive care without fear or barriers.
