As the Public Relations Manager for Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans, one of the greatest parts of my job is connecting with families, caregivers, and community members across our area every single day. I have the privilege of hearing stories of strength, resilience, and determination from families navigating disability services, special education, healthcare, and advocacy.
I also see the challenges families face when they don’t know where to turn for support. That’s why Families Helping Families exists, to make sure no family has to navigate disability alone.
GiveNOLA Day is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a real difference for families with disabilities throughout Greater New Orleans. Every donation helps us continue providing free support, resources, trainings, and advocacy to the families who rely on us every day.
From helping parents prepare for school meetings to connecting families with services and support, this work changes lives, and it only happens because of community support.
This year, we’re also encouraging our supporters to help spread the word by creating Peer-to-Peer fundraising pages and sharing why this mission matters to them. Every story shared helps build awareness, connection, and support for families in our community.
No gift is too small:
• $10 helps connect a family to valuable resources
• $25 supports advocacy and school meeting preparation
• $50 helps provide educational trainings for caregivers
• $100 helps strengthen services for families across our region
Thank you for supporting Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans and for believing in the power of community. Together, we can continue making sure families feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
Let’s spread some GiveNOLA magic, one family at a time.
