Every year I donate money to Be Loud for Give Nola day because it's an organization that I've seen do lifechanging work with teenagers in New Orleans.
Be Loud was founded by two teachers who originally created youth-led radio programs at school with their own students. Now they work with students and teachers to provide programing in New Orleans that is inclusive, fun and creative. It helps teens find their own voice to tackle real issues in New Orleans and in their own lives.
They asked me to be an ambassador this year, and my goal is to raise $500 (right now, every dollar is matched!) by May 5th. The money will go directly to fund scholarships for students to attend their summer camp this year.
Every dollar truly counts with these small non-profits, and it will go directly to uplift young people's voices in New Orleans.
