$2,500 goal

I chose the Waldorf School of New Orleans for my child because of its emphasis on fostering a sense of humanity and connection; opportunities for creativity and hands-on learning; incorporation of nature-based instruction, and limited use of technology. It’s an education that doesn’t just teach children what to think, but how to be - cultivating the resilience, empathy, and creativity needed to navigate our modern world with a steady heart.

The Waldorf School of New Orleans' GiveNOLA Day goal is to come together as a community to strengthen and sustain the heart of our school. Through collective giving, we aim to raise $15,000 in support of the Kennedy-Brown Scholarship and our Tuition Assistance Program—ensuring that every child, regardless of financial circumstances, can experience a rich, creative, and nurturing Waldorf education.

These initiatives play a vital role in expanding access and cultivating a diverse, inclusive community where students from many backgrounds can learn and grow together. At Waldorf School of New Orleans, we are committed to educating the whole child through an arts-integrated curriculum that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and a strong sense of self. Our students are guided to meet the world with purpose, gratitude, and respect, and are empowered to act with courage and conviction.

"Learning to Change the World" is our motto. We aim to give our students an education that imparts the tools and skills they need to collectively make the world a better place.
