Young Leadership Council (YLC)

A nonprofit organization

At the Young Leadership Council (YLC), we believe in the power of community-driven change. The Young Leadership Council is a non-profit, non-partisan civic organization created to develop and retain leadership through community projects.

Young Leadership Council (YLC) supports early- and mid-career professionals (ages 21-42) who want to develop leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in their community. By blending leadership training, hands-on service, and direct connections to local experts, YLC equips young professionals with the tools to enhance self-awareness, collaborate effectively, and drive social change. Joining YLC means becoming part of a legacy of service and civic engagement in Greater New Orleans. Members not only gain opportunities for personal and professional growth but also play an active role in enhancing the city's quality of life through a variety of impactful community projects.

Testimonials

I give because I have experienced firsthand the simultaneous impact YLC can have on members of the broader community as well as the young professionals serving. ( Patrick Hernandez - Past President)

I donate because YLC helps empower the next generation of leaders and makes New Orleans somewhere that working young professionals are proud to call home.  ( Kristie Kaaa O'Brien- Past YLC Board Member)
