YAYA

A nonprofit organization

YAYA empowers young artists with visual arts education, entrepreneurial training, and life skills to help them thrive as creative leaders. For over 30 years, we've been a space where young people find their artistic voice, build confidence, and gain real-world experience. More than an art program, YAYA is a launchpad for talent, fostering the next generation of culture-bearers and innovators. When you support YAYA, you invest in young creatives who shape the future through art, leadership, and community impact.

For over 35 years, YAYA has empowered young artists through free visual arts and entrepreneurship training. More than an arts program, YAYA is a launchpad where creativity meets opportunity, helping youth turn their passion into careers. Our Teen Guild provides hands-on instruction in painting, glassmaking, ceramics, and mixed media. Artists also gain real-world skills in marketing, resume writing, and portfolio building, selling their work in our Gallery and art markets. Each artist receives a Vade Mecum, a personalized binder to track their goals in art, academics, and personal growth. High-achieving YAYAs earn travel and commission opportunities, with 17 artists completing commissions and 9 traveling to national arts programs in 2024.

Beyond the Guild, YAYA's Urban Heroes program brought arts education to 287 students in 2024, while 325 students attended glassblowing demonstrations and field trips.

Youth ages 13-16 can apply to the Guild and stay in the program until age 25. By supporting YAYA, you're investing in the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and culture-bearers who will shape the future. Join us in creating opportunities-one young artist at a time.
