Tulane Hillel is a vibrant, student-driven, non-profit community center serving Jewish undergraduates at Tulane, UNO, and Loyola. Open to all, we empower students to shape their Jewish experiences while fostering an inclusive, action-oriented space with over 100 programs annually. Initiatives include Shabbat dinners, High Holiday experiences, leadership development through our nationally replicated Tulane Jewish Leaders Program, and hands-on opportunities like our Onward Israel internships and Tulane Israel Leadership Trip for non-Jewish students.
We're home to a kosher restaurant, Rimon, two Tulane classrooms, and provide free coffee, printing, and matzah ball soup deliveries. Our focus spans sustainability, social engagement, wellness, career skills, Jewish learning, and the arts. Additionally, we are committed to keeping students safe and combating antisemitism on campus and beyond. Tulane Hillel shapes the next generation of Jewish leaders by fostering leadership and meaningful connections while redefining Jewish campus life. Through innovation, collaboration, and a student-first approach, we create impactful experiences that strengthen identity and build Jewish community.
"Tulane Hillel is where I feel most at home. It's where I met my best friend, celebrated Shabbat, and it's an important part of my Jewish experience at Tulane " - Hailey G. '23
"Hillel allows students to celebrate and practice their Judaism in any way that serves them. Hillel empowered and supported me throughout my four years to take initiative and find joy in anything I choose to pursue." - Noa G. '25
"I learned the importance of being involved in a strong Jewish community." - Ezra W. '22
Tulane Hillel creates a radically inclusive community, develops students' leadership, and encourages leadership through our Jewish values.
