Touro Infirmary Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The mission of the The Touro Infirmary Foundation is to support the highest quality of care and compassion, through financial support of our hospital, Touro Infirmary, its patients and staff.

Philanthropy has been at the center of Touro since it was founded. As a community hospital, Touro's growth and development is aligned with the healthcare needs of the community it serves. The Touro Infirmary Foundation works with the hospital to identify philanthropic needs and areas of support for which the Foundation can fund programs and resources that have the greatest impact on our patients. Through generous donations, the Foundation has funded programs that support patients in key service lines:
• Cancer Care
• Heart & Vascular Care
• Women's Health and Family Birthing Center at Touro
• Physical Rehabilitation
• Senior Care

The Touro Infirmary Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation , was established in 1991 to support the mission of Touro Infirmary and the hospital's commitment to patient care, health education, and community service through leadership, resource development, and financial stewardship. Judah Touro, a Jewish philanthropist, founded Touro Infirmary in 1852 with a mandate to care for the indigent sick regardless of race, color, creed, or religious affiliation.
