Training the Workforce New Orleans Needs:
Louisiana Green Corps trains and finds employment for young adults in high-demand careers essential for fortifying our city against extreme weather conditions—including solar installation, green infrastructure, and skilled construction trades. We provide industry-recognized certifications, hands-on field experience, and a clear path to well-paying careers, strengthening New Orleans' workforce and protecting its infrastructure.

Industry Certifications: Covering the cost of credentials like OSHA 10 and NCCER, providing trainees with a competitive edge.
Essential Gear: Equipping trainees with the personal protective equipment and tools necessary for safe and productive work on job sites.
Removing barriers to participants’ and alumni’s participation in trainings: including transportation to and from trainings and work, professional clothes and tools, housing, utility assistance, groceries, medical and legal costs, and any other personal needs that arise.
Program Expansion: Allowing us to serve more young people and expand our training into new, high-growth infrastructure sectors.
