The Wetlands Discovery Center serves as a hub to increase awareness of the plight of Louisiana’s wetlands and the people who live there.
Our program staff of Environmental Scientists develop and implement place-based lessons that empower students to navigate the environmental challenges they face as residents of coastal Louisiana.
By inspiring the next generation of environmental scientist leaders to develop innovative technologies, we are fostering solutions that can make a real difference.
We live at a unique intersection of environment and culture. Environmental Heritage comes with the great responsibility of ensuring that future generations will be able to enjoy what this land and water have given us for decades.
