The Desire Community Reunion & Youth Support Picnic was created from a simple but powerful vision — to bring our community back together and create safe, positive spaces for our youth while honoring and including our elders.

Many of us grew up knowing the power of community cookouts, music in the park, and neighbors looking out for one another. We want to give that same feeling to the next generation — and create a space where our elderly community members feel valued, respected, and connected.

This event is more than just a picnic. It’s a day where:
