The Gulf of Mexico is the lifeblood of our region—powering our economies, shaping our cultures, and sustaining the communities of the Gulf South. 

But right now, the Gulf is under threat. Pollution, industrial expansion, and habitat loss are putting increasing pressure on the ecosystems and communities that depend on these waters.

New exemptions for oil and gas operations are rolling back critical Endangered Species Act protections, putting both wildlife and Gulf communities in harm’s way. Increased threats from spills, habitat destruction, and industrial activity could undo decades of conservation progress. We are currently raising funds to make sure we can legally challenge this devastating attack on the Endangered Species Act.

Healthy Gulf is working every day to protect this region—defending clean water, holding industry accountable, and advocating for frontline communities and vulnerable wildlife alike.
