At For Providers By Providers (4PXP), we believe that early childhood educators are the "Workforce Behind the Workforce." Every doctor, contractor, and hospitality professional in New Orleans can do their job because an educator is doing theirs—shaping the minds of our youngest citizens in a safe, nurturing environment.
Yet, for too long, this vital workforce has faced a crisis of high turnover. We aren't just watching this happen; we are changing the narrative through the Louisiana Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship (LECEA).
An Unprecedented Initiative
LECEA isn't just a project; it's a statewide surge in professional development. Since its launch, it has become the fastest-growing registered apprenticeship in the State of Louisiana.
By blending "Related Technical Instruction" (RTI) with "On-the-Job Learning" (OJL), we provide a debt-free pathway for educators to earn their CDA credentials while receiving a paycheck. We are professionalizing the field from the inside out, proving that when you invest in teachers, you invest in the entire economy.
Our "Path to 280"
We have set an ambitious goal: 280 program completions by June 2028. This isn't just a number—it represents 280 highly skilled lead teachers who will stabilize New Orleans' childcare centers, ensuring that quality early education isn't a luxury, but a standard.
