Early Childhood Literacy

This Give NOLA day, please help us give the gift of literacy! Early Childhood Education is the foundation of literacy. The first five years of a child’s life create the foundation for children to accomplish critical developmental growth that sets the stage for later school success. From the first day of life to the first day of kindergarten, children will learn, change, and grow at a rapid rate. It is during these first years that the brain undergoes its most dramatic growth.

The Center provides support for educators to make the most of these critical years! From coaching, training, and CDA programs, we are supporting educators in rural and urban areas statewide. Through working with our specialists, educators develop the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure that children enter kindergarten ready.
