The Waldorf School of New Orleans (WSNO) is an independent, non-profit school offering a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and experiential approach to education. Waldorf education integrates the arts with academics to inspire a lifelong love of learning and support the full development of each child’s unique capacities.
This Give NOLA Day our goal is to raise $15,000 to support the Kennedy-Brown Scholarship and our tuition assistance program, which provide access to Waldorf education for students with financial need.
These efforts are essential to building a diverse and inclusive school community, where children from all backgrounds can thrive and contribute their gifts.
Our mission is to provide a high-quality education that honors the balance of the intellectual, artistic, emotional, and spiritual life of the child. In our Early Childhood programs, young children engage in imaginative play, storytelling, music, painting, cooking, and exploration of the natural world. In grades 1–8, our rich, interdisciplinary curriculum is thoughtfully aligned with child development and includes mathematics, language arts, sciences, history, music, visual arts, and world languages—presented in a way that deeply engages each student.
At WSNO, we cultivate not only strong thinkers, but compassionate, capable human beings. Through an education that engages head, heart, and hands, our students grow into individuals who meet the world with purpose, gratitude, and respect.
Our community of parents, faculty, and supporters is grounded in a shared commitment to social renewal through education. Together, we strive to create a learning environment that fosters connection, creativity, and meaningful engagement with the world.
Thank you for being part of this work.
