About Meals With Love
In June of 2014 Grace at the Green Light was founded. What started as passing out water under the bridge has grown into a vital part of, not only the unhoused community, but New Orleans itself.
Our Meals with Love program provides an average of 225 unhoused individuals per day with a balanced breakfast, community, and personal hygiene items, 365 days a year. Since our founding, we have served over 500,000 meals! Far more than just the distribution of food and water, the program meets unhoused citizens where they are, enabling introductions to better connect them with the resources and services they desperately need.
Everyone deserves access to basic care and we see that.
Building trust and bettering community health all starts with a meal given in Grace.
