After 17 years as part of the Loyola Law Clinic, the WJP is transitioning to a stand alone non-profit legal services provider and workers' resource center. The next iteration of WJP will be a dedicated and self-sustaining center of power for workers to access legal services, and to network with community and labor organizers. The center will also provide education and training opportunities that address workforce rights and
readiness, entrepreneurship and other partner determined curricula. We hope to provide direct or indirect connection to other social supports such as healthcare, child care, and housing. The new WJP will operate under co-directors Andrea M. Agee, and Erika Zucker, who collectively have carried WJP's mission since 2011.
EQUITY = ACCESS. OPPORTUNITY. FAIRNESS.
The Workplace Justice Project works on behalf of workers who earn low wages. Our work is rooted in improving economic outcomes through education, direct representation, and policy work which promote access to systems of redress, build economic opportunity, and increase fairness and equity.
