The Water Collaborative

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to build a diverse network for all who are impacted by flood risk that focuses on equitable practices to sustainably live and thrive with water. We envision an inclusive network of communities who work to make our world climate resilient and New Orleans a leader in rights-based water management.

The Water Collaborative, founded in 2014, is a trusted nonprofit that empowers communities to act on water management and climate change. We're a go-to source for expertise, leadership, and collaboration across government, business, academic, and community sectors.

This year, we stand with Grand Bayou Village in their fight against food insecurity, saltwater intrusion, and land loss. We're raising funds to build Alligator Island Floating Planter Boxes-tools that grow fresh produce, preserve native plants, and teach sustainable practices to the next generation.

How your donation helps:
- 1 Floating Planter Box - $6,100
- Aluminum sheets - $1,140
- Powder coating - $1,900
- Gaskets - $18
- Filler caps - $36
- Soil cones - $35
- Drain plugs - $45
- Laser cutting - $600
- Labor & metal work - $2,154

Every contribution counts. Whether it's a full box or a single plug, your generosity helps Grand Bayou thrive.
