About this Organization
The Alpha Youth Leadership Academy (AYLA) works to give young men in the Greater New Orleans area a brighter and more positive outlook on life. The program functions with guidance from the brothers of the Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Inc.
The Brothers of Sigma Lambda mentor each month, hosting enriching activities that builds each mentee up. Participants in the Alpha Youth Leadership Academy will be eligible to apply for the Sigma Lambda Scholarship Foundation awards. We want our mentees to understand that our investment is serious and steadfast.
We have raised and awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to young scholars pursuing a college education. We hope you will help us continue these critical investments in our future. The gentlemen that have received our scholarships are thriving in their respective fields, working each day to not only better themselves, but to ultimately make a positive mark in our community.
