SSA continues to make measurable change in three major areas: 1) to provide youth with life skills that can be transferred to the workforce; 2) to disseminate evidence-based education to the community by experts as requested by the community in the areas of women's health, men's health, mental wellness, and nutrition to improve wellness for local citizens while increasing enrollment in research programs; and 3) to train researchers on how to code and use Big Data to explore research queries that improve the quality of life for all citizens.
In the last four years, we have given nearly 100 workshops attended by over 1000 people that have increased participation in research. In addition, we have trained over 150 researchers, including teachers, who are exposing their students to this emerging technology, which increased our reach to over 600 students who have been introduced to this emerging technology. Taken together, it is critical that students be exposed to this emerging technology to be competitive in professions such as coding, gaming, and artificial intelligence. Our work prepares the next generation and exposes adults so that both demographics thrive in this area.
