SBEDF works towards accomplishing its mission through a variety of initiatives and programming. The business development initiative identifies businesses to locate to the parish and works with existing industry to grow jobs and investment. The organization also develops and runs numerous programs and events aimed at cultivating the parish's next business leaders, propelling startups to the next level, and growing opportunities for coastal businesses and fishermen. Additionally, SBEDF works with parish and state government to create and analyze the development and implementation of various incentives aimed at attracting and retaining quality businesses and jobs.
