About this Organization

Make New Orleans Parades Accessible for Everyone:
Parades are the heart of New Orleans culture, yet for over one million residents and visitors with disabilities, the reality is stark: unsafe, inaccessible parade routes shut them out of the experience. Curb ramps are blocked, beads create hazards, and there are no adequate accessible viewing areas or critical services like ASL interpretation or audio descriptions.

New Orleans prides itself on hospitality and community, yet over one-third of Louisiana's population-adults and children with disabilities-are excluded from one of the city's most celebrated traditions. Whether locals or tourists, people with mobility impairments, sensory needs, or vision and hearing disabilities face overwhelming obstacles.

This isn't just about inclusion-it's about safety, community, and belonging. People with disabilities deserve to experience the magic of parades without barriers.

One Krewe is leading the change:
We design accessible parade routes, provide critical services, and train krewes to create an inclusive parading culture.
New Orleans can and must do better. Let's build a city where everyone can celebrate together.
