Northshore Jewish Congregation

The Northshore Jewish Congregation, fondly known as "NJC," is the center for Jewish learning, community, and worship on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, about 30 miles from downtown New Orleans.

Located in Mandeville, we are the only synagogue between Baton Rouge and Biloxi, Mississippi. We extend a warm welcome to all who are seeking a Jewish community built on the fundamental and enduring principles of Reform Judaism. The NJC is a congregation of volunteers, who put in countless hours because of the love for Judaism and the desire for a strong Jewish community, committed to the values and conduct of the individual, the family and the society in which we live.
