About this Organization
NOLAKEYS is a 501c3 organization created to bring the power of music to our community through FREE music lessons, FREE instruments and youth and family engagement events. We are committed to a common purpose - education, workforce development and artistic expression. NOLAKEYS offers a source of income for musicians and music teachers and opportunities for musical development for kids and teens, ages 5 to 18.
Program Objectives
• To encourage youth participation in music training and to improve their musical performance abilities.
• To foster the development of positive social behavior and values which contribute to success in school, career and society.
NOLAKEYS provides an outlet for children. Music instructors engage kids in a positive experience and serve as mentors. Music gives our students everything they need to be successful in life. The true power of music lies in its ability to add discipline, to heal, to express our feelings positively, and to save lives. The benefits of music instruction and experience are well documented and truly transformational.
