$25,000 Goal

For over 170 years, the New Orleans JCC has served as a cornerstone of the greater community, fostering connections, enriching lives, and promoting Jewish values through educational, cultural, and recreational programs. Our doors are open to everyone, offering intergenerational programming that encourages lifelong learning and self-improvement across our two vibrant campuses in Orleans and Jefferson Parish.

In 2026, we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of our beloved building on Saint Charles Avenue. Previously, the Jewish Orphans’ Home of New Orleans, the current building was constructed in 1966. As we commemorate this important milestone, we also reaffirm our commitment to creating lasting, supportive spaces that benefit our diverse community.

Today, our JCC building houses an award-winning Early Childhood Center nurturing young minds from 13 months to Pre-K, dynamic Summer Camps, enriching programming for active adults, including chair exercises, memory programs, games day, and lunch-and-learn sessions, as well as arts and culture events, and sports and wellness programs that include group exercise, aquatics, and personal training.

Help us preserve our rich history and unwavering commitment to the community by donating $60 this GiveNOLA Day to benefit our Building Anniversary Fund.

Testimonials

“Depending on who you are and where you are in your life journey, the JCC can be any number of things. It is always a warm, caring, and inviting place that encourages health, Jewish education, and community.”

"I just want you to know that the Alzheimer's Care and Enrichment (ACE) program was a lifeline for our family - our dad was treated so kindly and with dignity, he loved the program and benefited tremendously, and we are incredibly grateful. It helped him maintain cognitive ability; we're certain of it. And the respite it gave our mom was priceless."

"The swim classes at the JCC are fantastic, providing a fun and safe environment for kids to learn essential water skills."

"I have always wanted to take an art class, and this seemed like a good fit. The class was super encouraging. Madeleine (painting instructor) was just the best. I would sign up again tomorrow if she had another class."
