2.The Ministry was created in July 03,1993, when God brought together six churches who understood that something had had to be done through athletics to recapture the youth attention, within one month of that Initial meeting AFCO was up and running , during the 1st year God Open the door at a local Church Gymnasium and we able to introduce 151 youth to Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball, In 1994 we were able to move into Milne Boys home facility and with much sweat equity & prayer was our home for the next 12 years (1994 to 2005) we averaged 500 youth per year introducing them to Christ, basketball ,volleyball ,baseball, Football , track and field Golf and Tennis. We were able to break down many community barriers that had hindered our city for years. In 2014-2016 following Hurricane Katrina we were able to reboot with 6 local churches with our core values, but we were not able to sustain due to the fact that 90% of youth were outreach and had no real ties to the local church that they we were working with. In 2022 (AFCO 3.0) we rebooted this time working with children and youth ages 8 to 16 creating a sport Camp to build sports skills and incorporating Field trips.
