We are fundraising to provide 10 free spots for youth explorers at our Material Exploration Camp—a two-week camp where youth explorers develop and share stories through soil, sound, and textiles.
Mission
Material Institute is a nonprofit arts center in New Orleans' 9th Ward that expands access to resources for a new generation of New Orleans artists. We are a learning environment where experimentation and collaborative spirit collide to foster community and cultivate freedom of expression in the fields of music, fashion, and gardening. Our community centers emerging Black artists from New Orleans and is made up of people across experience, background, generations, and culture.
