Louisiana Green Corps
About this Organization
LAGC is a nonprofit workforce development organization dedicated to creating pathways to economic opportunity for the Greater New Orleans community through resilience workforce training. Louisiana Green Corps enables adults 18-35 who are disconnected from education and work to overcome barriers to employment and career success while contributing to their community.
We train individuals in essential hard and soft skills, work experience and career exploration, to ensure participants' readiness to enter the growing green and blue workforce, while providing stability through stipends, supportive services, and strong community. With over 16+ years of experience, LAGC has established itself as a regional leader in preparing individuals for careers in construction, natural resource management, landscape maintenance and stormwater management, energy efficiency and solar energy.
By equipping participants with environmental stewardship opportunities through industry recognized certifications and practical hands on experience, LAGC provides a pathway to stable, high-paying jobs that do not require advanced degrees but offer long-term career growth, helping to break cycles of poverty.
