Intramural Theater
About this Organization
Intramural Theater is raising funds for its 2025/26 season, which is slated to include 3 shows: "Critical Mass" by Deb Margolin (September), "See You in Your Dreams" (our newest devised work, going up in January!), and "Shockheaded Peter" by the Tiger Lillies (our first musical!).
Since 2015, Intramural Theater has presented 15 original productions (of which 11 were world premieres). We use an absurdist lens to explore the ways that broader social and political forces impact our everyday lives. We strive to give all collaborators a chance to share in a fun, creative, non-hierarchical process that honors each individual voice in our diverse and dynamic collective. Our original devising process has already resulted in five completed works over the past seven years: Synesthetics (2016), Protrusion (2019), Apostles of Everest (2021), CAVE (2023), and The Bermuda Can Company (2024).
We are most proud of our commitment to financial accessibility. Each Intramural production features "Pay-What-You-Can" performances and a clearly advertised "No one turned away for lack of funds" policy to ensure that cutting-edge theatre remains financially accessible for everyone, no matter their means.
