Gulf Coast Social Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing personalized support to thousands of families throughout Louisiana.

For over 43 years, Gulf Coast Social Services has offered quality and compassionate care, including respite care, therapeutic foster care, and non-medical support for veterans, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities in the Greater New Orleans community and across the state.

This GiveNOLA Day, we are proud to launch our “Pack Their Journey” campaign in support of children entering our Therapeutic Foster Care program. Many children enter foster care with very few belongings and face an uncertain transition during an already difficult time. Your gift will help provide suitcases, hygiene essentials, comfort items, and critical resources that help children begin a new chapter with dignity, stability, and care.

GCSS currently serves 48 children in Therapeutic Foster Care across Louisiana. Therapeutic Foster Care supports children and youth whose need for prolonged specialized care and supervision requires continuous professional oversight beyond placement in a traditional foster home.

One hundred percent of funds donated through this campaign will go directly toward providing suitcases, hygiene items, and support for children in foster care, while also helping us raise awareness and recruit new foster families.
