Flyte
About this Organization
Flyte has facilitated over 20 different programs of varying size and scope, we have helped over 1,200 people from majority Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color (BIPOC) communities access financial education resources. In March 2021 we launched a full-scale pilot of our 12-month Entrepreneur Empowerment Program, which worked with 30 local early-stage entrepreneurs, the majority of whom were BIPOC women with children. The aim of this program was to ensure that all the participants were in the strongest position possible to access capital after 12 months. We are launching our fifth cycle of our program in June 2025 with 120 small businesses in Southeast Louisiana. We hope to replicate the successes below on this program.
- Over 90% of participants report feeling more confident in their ability to manage their business finances;
- 100% of participants are aware of the issues affecting their personal credit and are addressing them;
- 100% of participants see their personal credit scores improve by 20+ points;
- 100% of businesses are incorporated, licensed and banked after the first three months vs 50% at start;
- 100% of businesses are able to produce accurate financial statements
