College Track New Orleans

A nonprofit organization

College Track is a comprehensive college completion program that equips first-generation scholars from under-resourced communities to earn a bachelor's degree and pursue a life of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power.

Serving over 625 scholars and alumni, College Track is the largest college completion program in New Orleans. Our scholars graduate at over three times the rate of their first-generation peers, and go on to light the way for their families and communities.

Our unique 10-year program starts in ninth grade, providing weekly workshops that improve GPAs, test scores, and critical skills, as well as one-on-one and group coaching sessions to explore passions and goals. When scholars are ready to apply to college, we accompany them through every step of the application process, from organizing campus tours to providing essay support and financial aid guidance. Upon enrollment at a college or university, each scholar is assigned a coach, who provides individual academic and career coaching, connecting scholars with resources on and off campus. Once they graduate, scholars enter our alumni network, where they have access to mentorship from professional leaders and career development through networking and internship opportunities.

Testimonials

"College Track has really shifted my perspective on higher education and how to get there. They have given me organization and structure to follow dreams and aspirations that I just didn't have before. I have been able to talk to people who were once in my shoes, being a person of color without any help on how to get to higher education. I will forever be grateful to College Track for giving me the opportunity that it has given me."
- Aniyanh, College Track New Orleans

“I have always been self-motivated and driven, but for students from my community, that is not enough. College Track provided me the tools to not only get to college, but graduate and pursue my passion. After medical school, I plan to move back to New Orleans, to fill the gap in the medical field that I saw growing up, and ensure that little Black girls have doctors and healthcare professionals who look like them.”
- Kaila, College Track New Orleans Alum
