OUR WHY FOR GIVENOLA 2018:
"I want to give back to the world some of the goodness I got." New Orleans jazz legend Louis Armstrong said these words to his wife Lucille before he died and left everything to her with the request for a foundation to focus on education and the arts. For GiveNOLA 2018, we celebrate this legacy and one of our organizational values, "give freely."

Founder & CEO Aaron T. Walker will be giving his time to anyone who wants to talk whether it be about entrepreneurship tips, our new economic development pilot, or finding the best bread pudding in the city. On GiveNOLA day, he'll be hanging out at Pulp & Grind, a Black woman-owned independent business in our neighborhood. We ask that, if you schedule a time with Aaron formally or even just stop by to say hi, that you consider spending your coffee or snack dollar at P&G to support this local business. To reserve time with Aaron on GiveNOLA Day (May 1), please select the virtual coffee option below -- we will give a portion of all proceeds from this option to P&G. (You can actually purchase a "pre-scheduled" donation starting on April 24 if you want to get your calendar locked in sooner!)

MORE ABOUT CAMELBACK
Camelback Ventures aims to address the inequities of entrepreneurship by providing coaching, capital, and connections to underrepresented entrepreneurs. We work with our social impact innovators through our Fellowship with the ultimate goal of creating great schools and prosperous, livable communities for all families. Over the past few years, we have supported over 30 entrepreneurs and have recently announced our newest cohort for 2018 (camelbackventures.org/blog-posts/2018-fellows).

After completing the Camelback Fellowship, our entrepreneurs have continued to evolve and thrive.
