Bike Easy envisions safe, convenient transportation options for everyone and the freedom to get around easily. We aim to share the joy of bicycling and make it an easy choice for everyone. We also know that streets safe for bicycling are safe for walking and vice versa. We imagine a future where people of all ages and abilities can bike, walk, and take transit safely in Greater New Orleans.

We're celebrating many victories for better biking in Greater New Orleans, such as:

• Reached over 1,100 people though our Education workshops and distributed over 130 bike light sets in 2024
• Held over 23 Bike Valet events in 2024 and parked over 1,130 bikes making it easier, and safer for people to bike to local events
• Continued to grow the Purple Way campaign - aiming to direct people on safe routes for walking, biking, and rolling during Carnival and festival season
• Continued our BIKE Talks - a series of community conversations aiming to create spaces for the bike community to come together and exchange ideas
• Continued to represent the needs of vulnerable road users at local, regional, state and nationwide meetings
