Bastion Community of Resilience

Bastion is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds communities of connection and person centered care to empower veterans and their families to achieve resilience and whole health. 

Whether you're searching for support or seeking an opportunity to serve others, Bastion is here to ensure no veteran struggles through post-military life alone. We offer completely cost-free programs, resources, and clinical services for veterans and their families. Here in New Orleans, all of our transformative offerings take place at our new Veteran Wellness Center, a central hub of support and social connection for our local veteran community. We also serve veterans in San Antonio through Bastion's Headway brain injury program, and aim to continue expanding our community and its impact to support even more veterans. 

Across our programs and wellness offerings, we harness the power of relationships to help veterans heal, grow, and thrive together in their post-military lives. Members of our community provide one another with support, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging. They serve one another as they once did in uniform, creating a living cycle of service that sustains our community.

Wellness Intensive program:

Headway brain injury program:
