Audubon Schools' mission is to foster a culturally rich and academically rigorous learning environment using French & Montessori curricula with a comprehensive arts program. Audubon students are actively and purposefully involved in their learning so they become responsible citizens in a changing world.

Established in 1981, Audubon quickly became a cornerstone of its community through strong parent-faculty partnerships and innovative educational programs. In 1986, a French program was introduced, gaining international recognition and culminating in a historic 1990 agreement designating Audubon as an official French School. After Hurricane Katrina, the community successfully petitioned for charter status, and in 2006, Audubon Charter School was formed under FAME, Inc. The school now operates two Uptown New Orleans campuses: a Lower Campus (grades K-3) and an Upper Campus (grades 4-8). Due to growing demand, Audubon expanded in 2018 by opening Audubon Charter School - Gentilly, a K-8 campus which focuses on hands on learning and arts infusions. In 2025, Audubon was granted an opportunity to expand our network to the Capital City of Baton Rouge. In the fall of the 2025-26 school year, Audubon Baton Rouge opened its doors, servicing students from grades K-5. Audubon Baton Rouge will follow the model of our Gentilly Campus, with an innovative academic model with focus on arts inclusions.

Fundraising Goals:

  • Audubon Charter School - Uptown
    • Our Audubon Uptown campuses are excited to come together with our community for a day rooted in generosity, connection, and shared purpose. This annual citywide celebration of giving is more than just a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity to invest in the experiences that shape our students every single day. This year, our focus is on something that touches every classroom and every learner: enhancing and upgrading our technology. At Audubon Uptown, we are working to bring more interactive tools into our classrooms—things like modern interactive whiteboards, updated projection systems, and technology that allows lessons to come to life in new and engaging ways. By expanding our classroom technology, we’re creating spaces where lessons are more than lectures—they’re experiences.
    • Across our Uptown campuses, this initiative will directly impact both teachers and students. For our educators, it means having the resources to bring creativity and innovation into their lessons with greater ease and flexibility. For our students, it means being more involved, more inspired, and more connected to what they’re learning. It’s about meeting students where they are and preparing them for a world where technology and critical thinking go hand in hand.
    • Every gift, no matter the size, helps move this vision forward. When you give, you’re not just donating to a school—you’re directly shaping the way our students experience learning.

  • Audubon Charter School - Gentilly

    • As Give NOLA Day approaches, our Audubon Gentilly campus is proud to join a citywide movement rooted in generosity, compassion, and community care. This day is about coming together to support the spaces and experiences that matter most—and for us, that begins with creating a safe, secure environment where every child can learn, play, and grow with confidence. This year, Audubon Gentilly is focusing on strengthening the safety of our outdoor play spaces. For our students, recess and outdoor learning are more than just breaks in the day—they are essential moments for movement, creativity, and social connection. Ensuring these spaces are both welcoming and secure is a top priority for our campus community. Funds raised will go toward thoughtful, important upgrades such as privacy screens, additional security cameras, and other protective measures designed to enhance visibility, supervision, and overall campus safety. These improvements help create clear boundaries, support staff in monitoring student areas more effectively, and provide an added layer of reassurance for both families and educators.
    • By investing in these safety enhancements, we’re not only improving our physical spaces, but also reinforcing a sense of comfort and care that allows students to focus on what matters most: learning, building friendships, and simply being kids.
    • Every gift—no matter the size—plays a meaningful role in helping us reach this goal. When many people give what they can, it adds up to something powerful. Give NOLA Day is a reminder that strong communities are built through collective support. When you give to Audubon Gentilly, you are directly contributing to a safer, more secure environment where students can thrive each day. Together, we can continue to build a school environment where safety, care, and opportunity go hand in hand—and where every child has the space to grow with confidence.
