About this Organization
Anna 4 Paws uses donated funds to create canine specific first aid kits. We then give those kits to working canine teams (police service, fire service, search and rescue) and provide the canine handlers with canine first aid training, taught by Dr. Trumble of Avenue Animal Wellness and Emergency in New Orleans.
Law enforcement agencies and such will often budget $20k for the purchase of a working canine but most often do not budget for first aid kits for their working partners nor first aid training to properly care for their partners in case of injury. Anna 4 Paws was created to fill that void while also hoping that our kits have to never be used.
Additionally, we partner with veterinarians local to the receiving agency to maintain the bags, long term, meaning if anything from the bag is used or expires, the handler can go to their sponsoring veterinarian and have those items replaced at no cost to the agency or handler. We are 100% donor driven and nobody in our organization collects a salary.
To this point we have outfitted over 100 canine teams and trained countless support personnel.
