The Animal Assistance League of Slidell was founded in 1983 to help the City of Slidell Animal Control Shelter. This shelter provides all the food, medical care, comfort and support items, medicine for animals held at the Slidell Animal Control Shelter. Tax payer dollars are normally not used for such items. AAL provides these items.
