St. Bernard Parish has a serious community cat problem. One unspayed cat can turn into dozens, then hundreds, in a short amount of time. And Snip & Tip is a a small group of volunteers working to get ahead of it.

The St. Bernard Community Cat Coalition (Snip & Tip) focuses on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), the most effective and humane way to reduce outdoor cat populations. We trap cats, get them spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and return them to where they live—stopping the cycle instead of just reacting to it.

We are not a big operation. We're neighbors, animal lovers, and volunteers giving their time, using their own cars, coordinating vet visits, and showing up day after day because the need is constant. And it makes a real difference.

Last year, we TNR’d over 800 cats—preventing thousands more from being born into a life of struggle and helping stabilize cat populations across the parish.

But there’s still a long way to go.

Every dollar raised helps us trap and spay/neuter more cats, provide vaccines, and respond to urgent calls across the Parish. More support means more cats fixed, fewer kittens born into hardship, and a future where this problem is no longer out of control

We are small, but the impact is anything but. Please donate and be part of the solution.

Our mission is to get ahead of the community cat crisis in St. Bernard Parish by sterilizing at least 80% of the population over the next five years—creating a healthier, more manageable future for both cats and the community.
