Save our Soul Coalition (SOS) is committed to honoring the will of the community -guided by surveys, petitions, testimonies, and public meetings. Formed in 2021, SOS united citizens and organizations to preserve and revitalize Louis Armstrong Park , Congo Square and the Morris FX Jeff Municipal Auditorium . Officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2022, SOS partners with local government to steward this redevelopment. In collaboration with the City of New Orleans, SOS has launched a community driven redevelopment initiative. Over the coming months, experts will work alongside SOS and the community to create a master plan transforming Louis Armstrong Park into a world class destination that celebrates New Orleans rich, cultural legacy.
