Rayne Early Childhood Education Program is a nationally accredited early childhood education program that serves children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Children learn through play, storytelling, music, and everyday experiences, in a warm and loving environment. We focus on the development of the whole child, including physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual growth, through the cooperative effort of our parents and teachers.
Rayne Early Childhood Program began serving children in 1971 as a half-day preschool. As the needs of the community changed, Rayne Early Childhood Program began providing full-day care and education in 1994. We embrace childhood as a unique and valuable stage of life and consequently, learning and growth take place in a secure, relaxed, loving, stimulating, and a child-centered environment.
This GiveNOLA Day, we’re raising funds to strengthen teacher support and sustainability at our school. Your donation will directly fund Teacher Wellness initiatives and Playground Improvements, allowing us to invest in the well-being of our educators and the learning and play environments our students deserve.
Thank you for considering a donation to Rayne Early Childhood Program.
RECP bases our curriculum on the premise that "child care" and "education" are inseparable processes occurring simultaneously through the cooperative efforts of parents and caregivers. Children develop and learn best when they encounter teachers who not only radiate love, but also actively engage with the children during play, storytelling, music, mealtimes, and in common everyday experiences supported by parental involvement. It is the program's intent that when a child leaves RECP, he or she will have
experienced developmentally appropriate cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual growth.
