Northlake Performing Arts Society (NPAS)

A nonprofit organization

NPAS is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to enhance and enrich the cultural life on the Northshore through choral music.

The Northlake Performing Arts Society (NPAS) was founded in 1995 as a community choir to establish fine choral arts performance on the Northshore. Over the years, the NPAS Chorus has developed into an organization known for musical excellence and a high level of community involvement. NPAS recognizes that great music can inspire profound change in our lives, our community and our world.

Our goals are to (1.) create opportunities for our community express themselves through music, (2.) introduce choral music to each new generation, and (3.) spread joy in our community.

The NPAS Chorus, led by Musical Director Kenya Lawrence Jackson, is truly a community organization with a wide range of professions, experience, musical training and ages blending together in a singular passion for beautiful music. Our concerts feature lively and, sometimes surprising arrangements, of musical themes such as Pop Through the Decades , Cinemagic-Music From the Movies, and A Celebration of Motown.

This year marks our 30th Anniversary which will will celebrate in May with "Best of NPAS" program. And we are proud to have dedicated our concert in March to our first responder community.
