NOAAHH--New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness
About this Organization
Musicians from New Orleans and all over the world have donated their time and talent to help NOAAHH address critical community needs through benefit concerts. Corporate sponsors and individual donors also support NOAAHH's work with vital contributions. The Greater New Orleans region is reported to have the country's 8th highest rate of food hardship and thousands of homeless persons, families and children. To date, NOAAHH has helped more than 50 charitable groups experienced in providing food and shelter to those in need.
Musicians such as Paul Simon, Robert Plant, Bonnie Raitt, Jon Cleary, Cyril Neville, Ivan Neville, Deacon John Moore, John Boutte, Erica Falls, Davell Crawford, David Torkanowsky and Marcia Ball, and many, many more, have performed at NOAAHH concerts.
With an all-volunteer board, NOAAHH uses all proceeds to award grants, through a highly vetted, competitive process, to philanthropic organizations.
