Make Music NOLA

A nonprofit organization

Mission - To give the children of New Orleans the keys to claim their musical heritage and the tools to build their creative legacy through music education. Vision - A New Orleans where young music students are valued and celebrated as central and essential participants in the civic and cultural landscape of their city.

Make Music NOLA is an intensive music-for-social-change program. MMN provides full scholarship, in-school and after-school music instruction to students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch at five charter schools and our head quarters at the Bell Artspace Campus. MMN currently offers instruction on string instruments - primarily violin, viola, cello, and double bass, and K-6 general music classes. Make Music NOLA students have performed at Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, the Saint Louis Cathedral, the National PTA Convention, and live on WWOZ.
