Hogdatnation

A nonprofit organization

HogDatNation is a competition BBQ team that  through affiliation with Hogs for the Cause, raises money for families with children suffering from pediatric brain cancer. We are seeking donations to help families meet unexpected needs that come with a diagnosis of pediatric brain cancer and to continue to assist with new residence facilities throughout the Gulf South and Colorado. As an IRS certified 501(c) 3, donations made to HogDatNation are fully deductive as allowed by law.
Our premiere event, Hogs for the Cause, takes place in the Spring each year. The event has grown from its humble beginnings in 2009, when Hogs for the Cause hosted a pig roast to raise money for Ben Sarrat Jr., Lil Ben, who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an incurable form of brain cancer. In that first year, roughly 200 people showed up to roast a pig and raise money to help Lil'Ben's family, ultimately, they raised $7000 for Lil'Ben that first year. Fast-forwards a few short years and Hogs for the Cause is now one of the largest barbeque competitions and music festivals in the country.

Mission

Hog Dat Nation competes in Hogs for the Cause barbecue festival to raise money for families fighting pediatric cancer. We combine our love of BBQ and competition with a commitment to making a real difference- honoring lil'Ben and Alex's legacy by turning great food and good times into meaningful support for kids and their families.
