About Fair Maiden Services
Fair Maiden Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for middle-aged and elderly adults living with vision impairments in New Orleans.

Founded in 2010, our mission is to spread the love of Christ by providing timely, trustworthy, and compassionate support that promotes dignity, independence, and meaningful community connection for individuals facing vision loss. Through years of direct service in the healthcare sector, our founder witnessed firsthand the daily challenges experienced by blind and visually impaired adults — including transportation barriers, food insecurity, missed medical appointments, and social isolation. In response, Fair Maiden Services was created to bridge these critical gaps with practical, person-centered solutions. 

As a humane service provider of social services, we offer:
Non-emergency transportation
Personal support services
Connections to grocery, pharmacy, recreational, faith-based, and community resources 

We serve individuals age forty-five and older with a limited  income who need reliable support to remain active and engaged in their communities. Our signature initiative, Victory Over Vision, is a three-year program designed to reduce transportation barriers for elderly adults living with vision impairments. The program ensures safe, dependable transportation to:
Pharmacy visits Grocery stores and food access sites Church services and faith-based activities.

By removing transportation obstacles, we help participants maintain their health, strengthen their faith, and remain connected to the community around them. At Fair Maiden Services, we believe vision loss should never mean loss of independence, dignity, or hope.
