East St Tammany Rainbow Child Care Center, Inc.

Rainbow was started to address the need for affordable childcare over 41 years ago and has been a United Way Partner Agency for 39 years. The mission of Rainbow Child Care is to strengthen low-income working families and families in crisis with a quality childcare program.

Rainbow Child Care serves 175 families each year with children between the ages of 1-5. Child care is the backbone of the economy. Without it, parents can't work or attend school. In addition to preparing children for kindergarten, Rainbow also helps families break the cycle of dependence on public assistance by utilizing sliding scale rates based on income and parent workshops providing information on a myriad of topics from home ownership, mental health, parenting tips, healthy meals on a budget, resume building, etc. Rainbow is building strong families and strong families build strong communities!
