Camp Challenge

Camp Challenge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating life-changing experiences for children diagnosed with cancer and other hematological disorders, as well as their siblings. Founded by a passionate group of parents and medical professionals, Camp Challenge was built on the belief that every child deserves the chance to simply be a kid—regardless of their medical journey.

Each summer, our partners, the Louisiana Lions, host us for a week-long camp at the Louisiana Lions Camp in Anacoco, Louisiana, where campers can step away from hospital visits and treatment schedules and enjoy a safe, supportive, and joy-filled environment. From swimming and outdoor adventures to talent shows and lifelong friendships, Camp Challenge provides a sense of normalcy and belonging during an otherwise difficult time.

Camp Challenge is completely free of charge for every camper and their family. It costs approximately $1,100 per camper to make this experience possible, and we rely entirely on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community supporters to keep camp accessible to all.
